Hello America,
I'm moderately relaxing at home in Hurst, Texas and need to express the need for our country to have a truly Moderate Third Party. Our two party system is dominated by the extreme wings of both the parties that we end up with two inadequate choices for the Presidency. I truly feel that most individuals in America are Moderate in their views on many different issue's. In the democratic republic that we live in, wouldn't you think that the majority of people would have a Moderate Third Party that represents them instead of having only extreme parties to choose from. We have the Democratic party that would not endorse a true moderate for national office because they are controlled by the liberal wing of the party. It's the same for the Republican party, with the right-wing controlling that party. We have the Green Party, extreme environmentalist. The Libertarian party, not wanting any government at all. I don't see a true Moderate Third Party out there.
How can that be in America, the true Democracy in the world? The majority of people do not have someone representing them. We have to sacrifice our views and swing back and forth between parties. The Independent party does not have a specific platform. We need a strong well known leader to leave his/her party and create a Moderate Third Party that has a platform on the different issue's. Personally I would like Rudy Guiliani to be that leader, who strikes out and pulls true moderates that are presently members of both parties and let the right wing and the liberals hang out on the fringe where they belong.
I believe both the Democratic and Republican members would be scared if that were to happen, because they know Americans are fed up with the same old garbage. We Moderates should stand together and no matter how long it takes get the entrenched members of Congress voted out and replace them with new blood. They couldn't do any worse then what is happening now with the financial crisis were in.
Let's all do our part and not forget the way our "leaders" have betrayed us and if it takes 2, 4, 10 years, replace them. They do not deserve to be reelected. NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THEM.
